The Future of LED Street Lights.

LED lights are on the way to the mainstream for the main street. Kansas City has replaced five thousand 100 to 150-Watt lights with new 65-Watt energy efficient LED bulbs. The new LED street lights will last for up to 6 years longer then the current HPS (high pressure sodium) street lamp, and as you can see they provide a more true white light and an even glow.

The question for Vibrance is will these lights be able to make an appearance in Tucson; as we are a low light community due to the local observatories in Tucson and the surrounding areas. If an LED array could be configured to reduce light pollution Tucson could soon be lit with energy saving LEDs.
